This is brand new year, and i need a brand new me. I feel like i dont have a life, i dont do anything. I clean house, i cook for my family and i do a few crafts but i think i can do far more. I want to give, I want to make things for other people, i want to more things for me. I want to read, go to movies, do some craft classes, meet people and enjoy life more...i want to spend more time with my wonderful husband doing things we both enjoy...starting right now..
Tomorrow I will look for some classes to do and go join the library so i have books to read...i might even take some cooking classes, i've got to eat so why not make some thing different.

Ok, off to my craft room.

Time gets away

I haven't posted here in a while. Time really got away over Christmas. It really didnt seem like Christmas and I have decided that we will not go away just prior to Christmas again. It just doesn't leave me sufficient time to get ready.
I've just started undecorating. I'm taking my time and taking inventory as I go so that I may save some time next year. I"m making a list of items I want to buy, make and bake before next year.

Today was a lovely day so we spent a little of it out in the garden. My roses really can do with some tlc, but the weather is supposed to be horrendous this week. I just cannot work outside in the heat, so I shall spent most of this week trying to organize the inside of the house which may leave me more time for the outside eventually.
My priorities this week are to get the rest of the decorations down and put away, finish off my birdhouse I've been painting for ages and to get the spare room cleaned up and turned into my new sewing room.

Dinner tonight was nice, for the first time I made bbq Chicken quesadillas...so easy. We will definetly have these again, spread bbq sauce on the tortilla, top half with cooked chicken and a handful of cheese ( I used half mozerella, half tasty), then fold the tortilla over and fry in a heavy pan for 2 minutes in 1 teaspoon of oil...these were scrumptious..
